Kollective366 is a New York City based classical orchestra, whose name proudly nods to the catalogue number of Mozart’s ‘Idomeneo’. Arguably the first stage work to fully unite all operatic styles of its day, we are inspired to cement its legacy of musical diversity in our orchestra’s name as we, too, aim to unite all styles, genres, eras and instruments of western classical music.

 

As we demonstrate the unifying trait of human expression through music, the ensemble provides dynamic programming presented on historical instruments while leaving an open door to collaborations with their modern counterparts. 

 

At the heart of the orchestra’s repertoire are works of the classical era, serving as an expansion-point to later and earlier repertoire. From the dawn of notated music to newly commissioned works, the ensemble is committed to showcasing the entire gamut of classical sonority.
